Mike,
ReplyDeleteThis show was tight, you are on it my man. I'd like to interject some of my back pocket knowledge to inspire some further thought in your mind, perhaps your listeners minds. Get that grant money and use it for something that brings light into the minds of young children. That is the only thing. Teach them that the trees represent the steady progress of humanity. As they grow, so do we. Thank you for the good work you are doing in Alabama. Kids love nature, and they trust it to provide life lessons capable of penetrating any kind of abuse. In early 80's I was involved with a naturalist movement in the Tri-state area, which endeavored to bring kids back from the edge. This children often traumatized by sex were transformed by the forest, nature, and the gentle touch of play mingled in with Gnostic gospels and folk music. We have helped hundreds of groups until the work of a few jaded people and a close minded investigation essentially shut down our group. We are looking for a new home base so to speak, and I believe Alabama may be the perfect home.
I hope we can continue the conversation with your organization. There is some grant money at stake, meaning we need to get this thing off the ground in time for Mr. Trumps big push. As you might imagine, this sort of program, in Alabama and aiding colored children could be most advantageous to our cause. Dee Thomas may be available as well.
Yours in spirit,
Ernest Thomas
